The
Valli A. Kirk Foundation
The Purpose of the Valli A Kirk Foundation is to educate the
general public regarding the importance of careers in health
sciences, to support health sciences education as a
practical response to the need for trained and qualified
health professional. We will provide Scholarship funds to
high school senior’s that will pursue a BS degree in
nursing.

Valli A Kirk RN CEN
Valli Kirk was born in Boise Idaho July 11th, 1952.
She graduated from Capital High School in 1970. After High school she attended
and graduated from Boise State School of Nursing in 1972. She continued her
education and received her BS in Nursing from Idaho State University Nursing
School in 1974.
Following her formal education Valli began working
at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise Idaho. She began her career as
a floor nurse in the medical Neurology floor for more than three years. From
there she moved to the Trauma Center where she worked for 17 years. For the next
three years she was a Pre-Op nurse in the new Orthopedic Center. Her last
position was in the trauma surgery center as a dedicated recovery nurse. Until
her death she had dedicated over 30 years of her life caring for patients,
relatives and friends.
Valli’s love and belief in Jesus Christ was part of
her daily life. She lived and worked glorifying God. This love of Christ enabled
Valli to love and care for each one of her patients.
This Foundation is established to provide college
scholarships for students that wish to become dedicated nurses. The foundation
is to help relieve the shortage of nurses. It is designed to encourage and
educate young people to pursue a career in nursing.
